About Andrea Pearson
An editor and writer in the Scottish media for 20 years, Andrea is a regular freelancer for The Herald Special Projects team working on publications such as: Luxury magazine; Luxury Homes; Your Wedding and a new magazine, Business HQ.
Having written about food in Glasgow for The List since 2010, Andrea also hosts the Glasgow Walking Lunch, telling the story of the city through food and drink (monthly, or by arrangment for groups).
Other stuff includes working as Clyde-sider during Commonwealth Games and writing in Village Voice, the athletes' village newspaper, being a web editor for Skills Development Scotland and a couple of very enjoyable years as news editor for the children's news site, The Daily What News, for Education Scotland in association with The Herald.
There have also been PR and editing contracts for Mackintosh Heritage Group, Glasgow City Heritage Trust, The List, Scottish Women's Aid, Humanist Society Scotland, Inspiring Scotland, and a number of community development trusts.
Hobbies, if you get this far in the biog, are nothing spectacular. Eating and drinking (obviously), walking and occasional holidays. She cannot resist an interpretation panel.
